  • Our Course Classes — What Makes Them Unique

Fly Girls Signature Pole Flow Course (18+)

Created by Crystal Gibson, Fly Girls course classes are a rich fusion of everything pole — shaped by decades of lived experience, creative industries, and soulful embodiment.

Born in America, raised by the world, and now grounded in the UK, Crystal has woven together a lifetime of movement: from the electric raves and clubs of the early 2000s to LA recording sound stages, pole soirées and cabarets, dance shows, touring companies, judging international aerial competitions, mentoring dancers, and performing on film sets under lights and shadows.

Movement has always been more than performance — it has been a pathway of returning home to oneself.

At Fly Girls, it isn’t just about learning tricks.
    It’s about learning you.

    🌹 The Pole Flow Experience

Step into our softly lit red sanctuary, where the outside world fades and your body awakens. Pole Flow isn’t just a class — it’s a sensory journey rooted in freedom, artistry, and embodied wisdom.

Each 4-week course includes 60-minute sessions that begin with a grounding warm-up inspired by Vinyasa yoga, Pilates, meditation, and breathwork. These opening moments calm the nervous system, draw you inward, and prepare your body to move with confidence and care.

From there, you’ll explore pole techniques, transitions, and flow, gradually weaving them into graceful sequences. Each month introduces new choreography, repeated weekly — not to perfect it, but to free it. The final week always brings a creative twist or surprise finale.

    Flow to cultivate grace.
Tricks to build physical and mental strength.
Sound that pulses through your body like confidence in motion.

Over time, something shifts. You move not just with skill, but with sovereignty — a free mover in your own body.

That’s the vibe. That’s Fly Girls.
You’re not just taking a class — you’re stepping into your story.

🌸 Why We Call It Pole Flow

Pole Flow is the art of moving with meaning.

It’s not about performance — it’s about presence. Breath leads movement. Movement softens into rhythm. Grip strengthens. Posture lifts. Confidence rises.

It’s not instant — but when flow arrives, you feel it.
It’s the moment your body whispers: I’m home.

    ✨ Inclusivity & Support

    • All levels welcome — no prior experience or upper-body strength needed
(You’ll build it here, with grounded, grip-safe options before inverting is required)

    • Proudly inclusive studio welcoming LGBTQ+ students, neurodivergent movers, and sensory-conscious individuals

    • Founded and led by a neurodivergent owner, with neurodiverse staff who understand different ways of processing, moving, and learning

    • Private 1:1 consultations available for gender-affirming movement or reconnective healing work

          • Members can attend a Winter Workshop on December 8th or 15th to compensate for a missed class, if they were not able to jump into another set of classes. This is the same in August, we urge members to take all classes in the three weeks we are opened.

Because months vary in length, your billing date may gradually shift.

Occasionally, your payment date may be adjusted so your membership always aligns with block start dates and class coverage.

        🔄 Commitment & Renewal

        • Initial commitment: 16 weeks (4 blocks)

        • Membership automatically renews for another 16-week period

        • 30 days’ notice is required before the end of each 16-week period to prevent renewal

        ⚠️ Fair-Use & Sign-Out Etiquette

        • Please sign out on time if you can’t attend

        • Late sign-outs prevent others from joining and disrupt fairness.

Thank you for helping keep the studio balanced, fair, and welcoming for everyone ✨

We encourage members who are anticipating pregnancy or significant life changes to consider timing carefully before committing to a membership.

        🌱 Female-Led CIC Membership Commitment

Fly Girls Fitness operates as a women-led Community Interest Company (CIC).

Spaces like this — created by women, for women — are still rare. As a CIC, we do not operate for profit, have no shareholders, and do not issue dividends. All membership income goes directly toward keeping the studio open: rent, staff wages, equipment, and community provision.

We are women ourselves. We understand that life happens, bodies change, and circumstances shift. Within this space, we recognise and honour the realities of being women, including (but not limited to):

        • Pregnancy

        • Menstruation and hormonal cycles

        • Childcare responsibilities

        • Female health conditions

        • Injury, fatigue, and life transitions

These experiences are normal, valid, and expected within a female-centred community.

At the same time, to remain financially sustainable and fair to all members, Fly Girls Fitness operates on fixed-term memberships. Once a membership has begun, it cannot be paused, cancelled, or refunded, including in cases of pregnancy, post-partum recovery, medical circumstances, or changes in personal situation.

This policy exists because, without clear and consistent boundaries, women-led community studios like this one simply cannot survive. Applying the same structure to everyone ensures fairness, stability, and the continued existence of safe spaces for women.

  • Aerial Hoop w/Kya

    Fridays 5:45PM

An aerial hoop, also known as a lyra, is a suspended ring that provides a unique opportunity for performers to engage in aerial acrobatics. Participants can benefit from this form of exercise in several ways: Over 16’s to Adult

    1. Strength Improvement: Aerial hooping engages multiple muscle groups, particularly the upper body and core. As individuals lift and maneuver their bodies through various positions, they develop significant strength over time.

    2. Enhanced Flexibility: The nature of aerial hoop exercises encourages stretching and elongation of the muscles. This practice promotes flexibility, allowing participants to achieve a broader range of motion.

    3. Better Coordination: Hooping requires a strong connection between mind and body. Practitioners learn to control their movements while maintaining balance and stability, which enhances overall coordination.

Overall, attending an aerial hoop class is an excellent way to combine fitness with creativity, offering both physical and mental rewards.

  • Open Space

    Wednesday 5pm-6:30PM, Friday 7:15pm - 8:45pm, Sunday 10am - 11:30am

Open Space is for training material that you have already attempted in a class. Please do not use this time for teaching yourself or others tricks you have not already worked on with an instructor. Open Space is time where you can just find your own style and work on perfecting your craft! Open Space is for FLY GIRLS current students, it is not for anyone who is not actively taking classes at Fly Girls Fitness (Elevate to Fly).

  • Stretch & Strengthen with Crystal

    Tuesdays 8PM

With over 15 years of experience, Crystal brings a unique approach to stretching that’s designed for all ages and abilities. This class isn’t just about holding stretches — it’s about lengthening the muscles, building strength within the stretch, and understanding how your body moves.

    💫 What makes it different?
We blend elements of Pilates, yoga, ballet, and kinesiology — the study of muscles and how they move from one to the next. You’ll learn about your connective tissue and myofascia (the web-like tissue that surrounds your muscles). Breaking down tight fascia is important because when it becomes sticky or restricted, it limits flexibility and creates tension in the body. We use simple, fun tools to release those restrictions so your body feels freer and lighter.

    🔥 How the class flows:

Warm-up & myofascia release – using stretching tools to break down tension.

Full-body stretch training – sometimes we move from head to toe, other times we focus on specific areas like hips or shoulders.

End-of-range strength work – pulsing, engaging, and activating muscles to build control within your flexibility.

Stretch of the day – targeted focus to go deeper where it’s most needed.

Fun finish – we often end with a pose or small acro/partner challenge, to celebrate what your body can do (and snap a cute picture if you like!).

This is a class that not only helps you feel better in your body, but also teaches you why you’re doing each movement, so it makes sense and stays with you outside the studio.

  • Pole requires direct skin contact to safely create and hold shapes. Fabric covering key grip areas makes gripping the pole nearly impossible.

    Recommended:

    • Shorts & a fitted top
(Skin on your biceps, inner thighs, shins, and behind the knees provides essential grip.)

    • Bike shorts are a great option for beginners who want a bit more coverage

    • Knee pads are highly recommended for floor work, transitions, and flow

    • Changing facilities are available at the studio

    In colder months:
Please arrive dressed warmly. You’re welcome to layer up, and warm-ups — especially in course classes — can be done with leggings on. You can remove layers when you’re ready.

  • Why Choose a Four-Week Pole Dance Course Over a Drop-In Class?

If you’ve been thinking about starting pole dancing but feel overwhelmed by the idea of jumping straight into a drop-in class, you’re not alone. Many beginners experience this hesitation. The good news is, there’s a better option—especially if you’re just starting out. Wednesday 6PM is designed for New Beginners to High Beginners and has a slow paced learning vibe.

If you want to join a Pole Flow Course Class 4-week series:

Our Four-Week Pole Dance Course, commencing from 15th of September to the 11th of October, is designed specifically for beginners and more information can be found below: http://eepurl.com/jm0f2o

Please select the "Courses and Classes" option in the website menu for details. This page explains why courses are better than drop-ins for both beginners, intermediates and advanced students.

    1. A Structured, Supportive Environment

When you’re learning something new, especially something physical like pole dancing, you need time to build a foundation. A drop-in class, which often mixes all skill levels, can leave you feeling lost and frustrated. The more experienced students are further along in their technique, which can make you feel like you’re not measuring up.

In a beginner-specific course, you’re all in the same boat. Everyone is there to learn the basics, just like you. It creates a safer, more encouraging environment where the focus is solely on your growth. You can ask questions, repeat moves, and practice without the pressure of keeping up with more advanced students.

    2. More Personalized Attention

One of the biggest benefits of a beginner course is the extra attention you’ll receive from the instructor. When you’re just starting out, learning proper form and technique is essential to avoid bad habits or potential injury. In a mixed-ability class, there’s often not enough time for the instructor to give every student the feedback they need.

With a dedicated four-week course, the instructor can tailor the class to your skill level, answer your questions in real-time, and ensure that you’re progressing at a comfortable pace. This personalized attention can make all the difference in how quickly you learn and how confident you feel.

    TEXT

    3. Avoid Overwhelm and Comparison

Let’s face it—when you’re the new person in a room full of experienced students, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. You might start comparing yourself to others who have been practicing for months or even years, and that can make you question your ability or progress.

It’s natural to feel a bit self-conscious when you’re starting something new. But think of it this way: newborn animals or humans have a more fragile start. Their early days require patience, understanding, and care. The same goes for you as a beginner in pole dancing. The Four-Week Course gives you the time and space to grow at your own pace, without the pressure of feeling like you have to "catch up" to others. You’ll be able to develop the confidence to go at your own speed, which will ultimately make you feel more comfortable in future classes.

    4. Consistency is Key

Pole dancing, like any skill, requires consistency to see improvement. By committing to a four-week course, you’re giving yourself the time to build muscle memory, refine your technique, and feel a sense of accomplishment each week. This consistency helps you progress faster than you would by dropping in sporadically to a class whenever you feel like it.

Each session builds on the last, so you’re not left starting over every time you attend a new class. With each week, you’ll feel stronger, more confident, and more capable in your practice.

    5. Focus on Fundamentals

A beginners’ course doesn’t just teach you how to spin around the pole—it helps you understand the fundamentals of pole dancing, including strength-building, flexibility, body awareness, and coordination. In a mixed-ability class, advanced students may already have these basics down, which could make it harder for you to catch up.

In a Four-Week Course, you’ll focus on building a strong foundation, step by step, ensuring that you have the skills to progress safely and confidently to more advanced moves later on.

    a new found freedom.

Ready to Start Your Pole Dancing Journey? Starting something new can be intimidating, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Our Four-Week Pole Dance Course offers you the opportunity to ease into the practice with a supportive community, expert guidance, and plenty of time to develop your skills.

Whether you’re looking to build confidence, improve your fitness, or try something new, this course is the perfect place to begin.
